Keeping fit and healthy in pregnancy is important for your baby’s growth and development. The immune system is naturally lower during pregnancy, so if you were to catch flu it could become serious very quickly. Therefore, South West Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is encouraging all pregnant women to get a free flu vaccination this winter.

People with memory problems urged to seek advice

We can all forget things from time to time, for many people the pressures and stresses of life can mean that remembering every event or detail can be challenging.  However, if you or somebody else notices that your memory is getting worse and/or is affecting everyday life, you should seek help from your GP.

Smokers urged to join the Stoptober challenge

South West Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group is once again supporting Stoptober – which aims to encourage smokers across England and Wales to make a quit attempt during October.  There are now one million fewer smokers in England than there were in 2014 and around 1,000 smokers quit every day on average, one every 80 seconds. 

Public invited to Governing Body

Patients and the public are invited to the next Governing Body Meeting in public of NHS South West Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), which will take place on Wednesday, 26 September 2018, from 11am in the Royal Oak Boardroom, Bridge House, The Point, Lions Way, Sleaford, NG34 8GG.

World Sepsis Day


South West Lincolnshire CCG is supporting World Sepsis Day, Thursday 13 September 2018, to raise awareness of the condition and the signs to look out for.

Sepsis is a condition caused by your body’s immune system responding abnormally to an infection, which can lead to tissue damage, organ failure, and death. The infection can start anywhere in your body; it may be only in one part, or it may be widespread.
