The Shaping Health for Mid Kesteven Programme Board
The Shaping Health for Mid Kesteven Programme is a piece of work led by local GPs, hopsital doctors and nurses. The group has looked in depth at the services that are currently provided in primary care, community services and at Grantham Hospital. Their aim is to look at what health services will best meet the needs of people living in Sleaford and Grantham area.
Representatives of local people and organisations are fully involved in the work and, therefore, that there is a true community approach to the future of health services in the area.
A public consutation ran from 21 November 2012- 20 February 2013 to gather feedback on the future of services delivered at Grantham Hospital. 718 responses were received and a petition was submitted by SOS Grantham Hospital raising a number of concerns about the proposals.
Outcome of the Consultation
The Governing Body considered all responses to the consultation along with the SOS Grantham Hospital Petition on 26 June 2013.
