Your experience as a patient, relative or carer of a patient is extremely valuable and will enable us to build on the healthcare services that are working well and improve the ones which perhaps should be doing better.
Patient experience of care is a key part of the CCG quality framework and it is essential that we not only seek patient’s views about their care but also ensure that the appropriate action is taken to make improvements. Our three principles are:
We will work with and listen to the people of South West Lincolnshire
We will use patient feedback to drive innovation and commission service improvements
We will challenge providers if there is evidence of poor patient experiences of care
The CCG monitors patient experience and feedback data from Lincolnshire NHS providers and gains assurance that improvements are made to practice.
Whether it was a service you received in hospital, your local GP surgery, or even in your own home, we would encourage you to give feedback, good or bad. In the first instance we recommend that you contact the provider of the service you received. Contact details can be found in the Your Health and Local Services section.
There are many demands on the healthcare system nationally and that means we have to work differently so that local people have the best possible care both now and in the future. We need to keep hearing your experiences and stories to make sure we’re doing it right.
What do I get by getting involved?
If you’d like to get involved and give your feedback to the CCG, we can:
Send you regular updates about the CCG and local NHS health services via the Sustainability and Transformation Partnership newsletter. You can also let us know what your health interests are so that we can specifically provide you with information that’s relevant to you.
Share information about the various engagement opportunities that the CCG’s holds
Invite you to CCG public events such as the Annual Public Meeting and other public meetings that are held throughout the year.
Share information about our monthly Governing Body meetings which give you the chance to find out about Governing Body's discussions and the decision-making process. The meeting also gives members of the public an opportunity to ask questions about Governing Body agenda items at the end of each meeting. You can send your questions to the CCG prior to Governing Body via letter, email or phone, and then either ask them in person at a Governing Body meeting, or have them registered, with the answer, as a question at the meeting.
Give you the opportunity to ‘have my say’ about new services and service changes.
