"I started work within the NHS at 17 years old, straight from college as a Shorthand/Typist at my local Mental Health Hospital and have now completed 33 years of working in the NHS. I sometimes wonder where all those years went! I thoroughly enjoyed being based within a hospital setting and no day was the same.
I have progressed throughout administration and am now a Personal Assistant at a CCG (a post I have held for two years). Moving from a provider to commissioner setting was a big step for me but I’m rising to the challenge.
Over the years I, like many others, have worked with some fantastic people and forged some strong friendships over the years.
I think the NHS is a truly wonderful institution and I’m proud to be a part of it and always will be."
